2019 Honda Fit: Even More Impressive Safety

Since its launch, the Honda Fit has always played the card of versatility combined with that of fuel economy to stand out. Indeed, the Fit is not only the most spacious of its segment, but it is also more spacious than many larger sedans and even some SUVs. And now, the 2019 Honda Fit adds a host of technologies that, once again, are not generally available in this segment.

Improved Safety and Connectivity for the 2019 Honda Fit

The new 2019 Honda Fit features a set of driver assistance systems that include advanced technologies such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), collision mitigation braking system (CMBS ™) with Forward Collision Alert (FCW), Active Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS), and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

These technologies are therefore capable of warning you that an accident is about to occur and can take control of the vehicle to avoid it. No other car in the Fit range offers the same level of safety.

In addition to these driver assistance systems, the 2019 Honda Fit also offers highly advanced connectivity technologies that include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems. These systems replicate the screen of your mobile device on the car's centre screen, giving you unparalleled interaction with your phone while improving safety.

A Very Economical Engine for the 2019 Honda Fit

The 2019 Honda Fit is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine developing 130 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be paired with a manual gearbox or a continuously variable automatic gearbox.

Regardless of the gearbox, you’ll have a fuel-efficient car when you opt for the 2019 Honda Fit. In fact, the average fuel consumption can be as low as 6.5 litres per 100 kilometres with the CVT. That’s not bad for a small, nimble city car that offers up to 1,500 litres of cargo space in the trunk!

The other addition to the Fit range is a Sport version that includes 16-inch wheels, chrome accessories, and orange paint that does not go unnoticed.
