The 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback was unveiled to the world this week a few months after the unveiling of the new generation of the Honda Civic. The best-selling car in Canada for 23 years now has a more versatile version designed for those who need space, but also want to have fun behind the wheel of their vehicle.

The 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback isn't just more spacious, it's also more fun and dynamic than the sedan version. Its structure is about 19% stiffer which translates into better handling and sharper dynamics.

In terms of versatility, the Civic hatchback offers almost 700 liters of cargo space, about twice as much as the sedan. In addition, the new generation is entitled to a wider tailgate with an opening that has been increased by 40 mm. It will therefore be easier to accommodate larger items in the trunk.

The 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback is powered by a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The Turbo version is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine that develops 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.
