Outstanding.
Let us give a HUGE shout out to the Calgary Honda and Acura community for an amazing 2nd Annual Show and Shine at Village Honda! The weather was perfect, with not a cloud in the sky as the cars began to roll in at 8:30am for set up on July 23rd, 2022. You could feel the enthusiasm as the owners meticulously parked their vehicles and began to polish off any specks of dust that were evident.
The vendors began to roll in bright and early as well. We were thrilled to once again welcome Melissa from SiriusXM, Midnight Auto Garage, Fast Wheels, Garage 111, Si Syndicate, Butterfield Acres, Toms House of Pizza, Royal Oak Tim Hortons and the Smoke n BBQ.
For us at Village, this show is so important. The passion for Honda and Acura in Calgary and surrounding area is profound and we are so proud to hold an event for owners to display their vehicles to the public. The reputation of Honda and Acura speaks volumes for the enthusiasm that we experienced at the show. Attendees came from all corners of the city. To complement the JDM, classic and modified cars, we were pleased to welcome motorbikes this year. Leading the way with an epic reputation of Honda motorsports, why didn’t we think of this last year? Nonetheless, it was better late than never and we were pleased to see the number of bikes on display.
While all entries were stunning, our expert-judging panel was thrilled share their results so that we could crown our winners of Best Modified, Best Classic and Best in Show. Next year, we are considering adding in an additional trophy for our attendees to vote on their favourite entry. The jury is still out on the name for that award!
We were proud to support the Ssubi Foundation again this year with all funds raised during the show. A very special thank you was extended from Philip Ngudda of the wonderful Ssubi Foundation for your contributions and support.
We cannot wait for next year and we are committed to improving the show each year. Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Honda & Acura Show & Shine and of course thank you to our Villagers and especially Dave Deborja for putting this show together – your time spent planning and your dedication to an outstanding event for all of Calgary to enjoy is thanked beyond measure.
See in you in 2023!
